Grapnels

There are different types of grapnels to choose from when a cable has to be recovered from the seabed.

Surface laid cable: Rennie & Gifford and/or Spear-point or Long Prong Sand grapnel to be used.

Buried cable: Detrenching grapnel with 0.6 m – 1.5 m fluke to be used.

Cable not broken: Flatfish cutting grapnel can be used.
