For the last two years, Alcatel has actively pursued its sponsoring goals by becoming involved in projects that are related to key areas of company development.

China

September 2002 and 2003:
The Pingyao (China) International Photography Festival

October 2003 - July 2004: the year of China in France

India

In India, Alcatel also organized a photography exhibit of the work of Anshu K. Gupta showing a kaleidoscope of images of India and all its cultures, colors and challenges.

Europe


Alcatel is sponsoring the "Recognition, the new Europeans" exhibition initiated by Magnum Photos celebrating the accession of 10 new countries to the European Union. This exhibit will be inaugurated in the Geroges Pompidou Center in October 2005. Magnum photographers will show 10 distinct visions of the new Europeans. In 2005 -2006 the exhibition will travel to the different capitals of the enlarged European Union.
Alcatel has given carte blanche to Magnum Photos for the creation of customized exhibitions in the headquarters Atrium for the next two years.

Alcatel decided to support the Aïna NGO in its project of helping Afghan women to be trained in journalism.
American Color
Constantine Manos offers a timeless, poetic glance of public places across his native land. He was awarded the Leica Medal of Excellent in 2003 for this work.
