The MDR-8000, 9400 AWY, and 9500 MXC product families represent a new generation of point-to-point microwave radios which are ideal for transmission of traditional telephony traffic as well as Internet data for high-speed networks. They are widely used for private data networks (WANs, LANs), mobile backhauling (2G, 2.5G and 3G), utility networks (railways, electricity, pipelines), and public safety communications infrastructure. Absolutely reliable, scalable to any network size, and easy to install, Alcatel-Lucent’s radios are able to solve a multitude of short haul and long haul telecommunications access problems.

Furthermore, these products are backed by a dedicated Network Engineering organization to provide system design, equipment engineering, installation services, and after-sale support.

From the development of the first microwave radio systems in the 1950s, to becoming an integral part of Alcatel-Lucent's telecommunications strategy, Alcatel-Lucent's Wireless Transmission Division has set the industry standard in public and private networks around the world.
